UNP legislator and head of the UNP trade union wing, Dr. Jayalath Jayawardena has said the government should make arrangements to get money from the Treasury to build a pensions secretariat instead of taking it from the EPF account.

UNP Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe stated that funds will soon be collected for the repairs on the party headquarters which was attacked by angry loyalists following the party elections last month.The party leader branded the attackers as enemies of the parties and stated that those who defend or protect them will also be branded as enemies.
